Nasolabial & Marionette Lines
Eliminate facial shadowing.
Nasolabial lines are the lines that form from the edge of the nose to the corner of the mouth on either side of the face. They are sometimes referred to as smile lines. They can get deeper with age and, due to shadowing in these areas, can make a face appear tired.
Marionette lines are the lines that form from the corner of the mouth down towards the sides of the chin. They can also get deeper with age and cause the mouth to appear downturned, resulting in a sad appearance.
The appointment begins with a thorough consultation and assessment of the perioral areas to deem whether you are suitable the treatments. The consultation and the treatment will be performed by Dr Arun.
In many cases, nasolabial and marionette lines form because of volume loss from the midface/cheeks, which causes the face to droop downwards, causing nasolabial lines and marionette lines to appear. In these cases, it is more beneficial to replace volume loss where it has initially been lost, which subsequently can give an upward pulling effect which reduces the depth of these lines.
In other cases, volume loss is minimal, and it is more beneficial to treat nasolabial and marionette lines directly by injecting filler along these folds to reduce the depth and give the face a smoother, rejuvenated appearance. During the consultation, we can analyse the face and advise on which approach is more suitable for you.
This treatment can be performed alongside many of our other treatments such as nasolabial and marionette filler with cheek filler, jawline filler, tear trough filler, and more. The combination of these treatments can result in a drastic improvement to the whole face and a more youthful, lifted appearance.

These lines form for a couple of reasons. As we age, we lose fat in the mid-face, which causes the skin to droop downwards and subsequently, nasolabial and marionette lines form. The other reason is the normal movement of our facial muscles over time (smiling mainly).
